Charity Bike Ride

By 13th March 2016 June 25th, 2016 What's Happening

The Jucatan Peninsula Mexico was the fifth Truants bike ride to raise much needed funds for three child related charities – Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Childline and Teenage Cancer Trust.

The first four rides –with 43 riders along the Nile in 2010, 25 in Cuba in 2011, 41 to Morocco in Oct 2012 and 38 in Cambodia 2013  – raised profits between them of £1,126,340 to date which was donated to the Charities. Entrance to the Truants is by invitation only and they come from all walks of life but a poor sense of humour, high endurance of extreme pain and a love of sport and, especially, associated activities, is a good start. Mexico will see  50+ good men and true, including a few ladies, make a great effort to reach our ambitious target for the ride – £500,000, The Truants collectively raised £490,117.42 on the 2015 Mexico ride, thank you to everyone for the continued support.
